Rental conditions
For the rental, you require a national driver's licence. In addition, an international driver's licence
is recommended. The driver's licence of the driver and all additional drivers is required at the pick-up.
Minimum rental period
The minimum renting duration amounts to 7 nights.
Maximum rental period
The maximum rental period
is 35 days. Any additional days (from day 36) are regarded as a new booking. Cruise Canada may require a change of vehicle.
For long-term rentals, Cruise Canada can individually refrain from this rule. We are happy to assist you with your special requests.
24-hour assistance
Within Canada, you can reach the Cruise Canada hotline (toll-free 1-800 334 4110) 24 hours a day.
In case of an incident, you are obliged to contact the hotline and to report the incident.
Additional miles
Additional miles are charged at CAD 0.28 per kilometre plus taxes.
Flex rates
Cruise Canada calculates the rental days according to a flex rate system.
Weekly, demand and availability per rental station and vehicle type are compared
and the rates adjusted. Therefore, the rates can vary within a very short time. Once a price has been confirmed,
it cannot be lowered. If you change an existing reservation,
the flex rates of the booking and changing date are compared and the higher flex rate charged. Also check section "Booking amendments".
Travel restrictions
In general, the rental company only allows to drive on paved public roads (with number signs).
Deposit
With the vehicle assumption you Cruise Canada loads a depot of over CAD 450.- (during bar deposit CAD 1'500.-), which is charged or re-imbursed regarding the vehicle return.
Credit cards / traveller cheques
Cruise Canada accepts all usual credit cards. Traveller Cheques on request.
Insurances - liability & SLI
Auto Liability and Supplemental Liability Insurance.
Both insurances are included in the rental rate. The basic liability insurance (Auto Liability) covers third part claims
(excluding passengers of the rental vehicle) up to the legal minimum amount of the corresponding Province,
in which the accident / claim happened.
In addition, the SLI increases the minimum amount up to a maximum of CAD 1'000'000.--.

Additional driver fee
All additional drivers must register at the time of pick-up.
No charge applies for additional drivers.
Pick-up
After a transatlantic flight, you have spend one night in Canada
prior to the vehicle pick-up. A pick-up on the day of arrival is prohibited. Pick-up possible from 1300 hours until late afternoon.
The transfer to the rental station is not included in the rental price and has to be organised individually.
With the "Early Bird Departure" special offer, the pick-up takes place in the morning.
Pick-up with "Early Bird Departure" package
If you wish to pick-up the vehicle in the morning, please book the "Early Bird Departure" option. This package includes
the transfer from specific hotels to the rental station and the pick-up
between 0900 - 1200 hours.
Drop-off
Possible from 0900 - 1100 hours. The "Early Bird Departure" allows you to drop-off the vehicle until 1500 hours.
The transfer from the airport to some specific hotels is only included in the "Early Bird Departure" package.
We recommend not to book any flights with scheduled departure in the morning or early afternoon.
Cleaning
The vehicle must be returned clean and with a full petrol tank. For uncleaned vehicles, Cruise Canada
charges a cleaning fee of up to CAD 250.--.
Booking amendments
Booking amendments are subject to a fee of USD 50.-- per booking.
Cancellation policy
In case of a cancellation, the following charges apply:
USD 500.-- for cancellations 45 - 16 days prior to pick-up date
USD 875.-- for cancellations 15 - 3 days prior to pick-up date
100% of the total rental costs for cancellations 3 - 0 days prior to pick-up date
One-way rental fees incl. taxes
are not refundable in case of a cancellation and are charged in full irrespective of the time of cancellation.
In addition to the percentage of the cancellation fee, the service fee of Vivantiworldwide.com (according to terms and conditions, paragraph
4.2) applies for each booking.

We reward your early payment!
Depending on the rental company and booking date, we offer you up to 8 % early booking discount.
Pets
Carrying of domestic animals is permitted with Cruise Canada. If the vehicle is not returned however in perfect condition, Cruise Canada can require an additional cleaning fee of up to CAD 250.-.
